Religion and Race in America

From the Faith Angle West 2021 Forum in Napa, California

Esau McCaulley, Wheaton College

Eugene Scott, Washington Post

If the recent protests and conversations around race in America reveal that we clearly have a long way to go, better understanding the history and witness of the black church is critically important. Dr. Esau McCaulley and Eugene Scott highlight the unique story of the black church in America, one which does not fit into the paradigms of white Christianity but instead offers a prophetic critique of it, and how that story speaks to the social and political issues of our time.
