Reuel Marc Gerecht
The Foundation for Defense of Democracies

Reuel Marc Gerecht is a senior fellow with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.  He focuses on Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, terrorism, and intelligence. Mr. Gerecht is the author of The Wave: Man, God, and the Ballot Box in the Middle EastKnow Thine Enemy: A Spy’s Journey into Revolutionary Iran and The Islamic Paradox: Shiite Clerics, Sunni Fundamentalists, and the Coming of Arab Democracy. He is a contributing editor for The Weekly Standard and has been a correspondent for The Atlantic Monthly, as well as a frequent contributor to the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and other publications.

Jeffrey Goldberg

Jeffrey Goldberg is a national correspondent for The Atlantic and a recipient of the National Magazine Award for Reporting. He authored the book Prisoners: A Story of Friendship and Terror, which was hailed as one of the best books of 2006 by the Los Angeles TimesThe New York TimesThe Washington PostSlateThe ProgressiveWashingtonian magazine, and Playboy. Goldberg is the recipient of the 2003 National Magazine Award for Reporting for his coverage of Islamic terrorism. He is also the winner of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists prize for best international investigative journalist; the Overseas Press Club award for best human-rights reporting; and the Abraham Cahan Prize in Journalism. He is also the recipient of 2005’s Anti-Defamation League Daniel Pearl Prize. Before joining The Atlantic in 2007, Mr. Goldberg was a Middle East correspondent, and the Washington correspondent for The NewYorker.

Dr. Luis Lugo
Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life

Luis E. Lugo is the Director of the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. During his tenure, the Pew Forum has become a leading research organization on issues at the intersection of religion and public affairs. He has led the Pew Forum in developing landmark surveys on religion, including the U.S. Religious Landscape Survey, which detailed the religious makeup, religious beliefs and practices as well as social and political attitudes of the American public, and the U.S. Religious Knowledge Survey, the first comprehensive effort to gauge the state of religious knowledge among U.S. adults. In addition to overseeing the Pew Forum’s annual surveys on religion and politics, Luis helped guide the development of the first-ever, nationwide, random-sample survey of Muslim Americans and a landmark survey of Latinos’ religious affiliations, beliefs and practices. His PhD in political science is from the University of Chicago.

Dr. Timothy Keller
Redeemer Presbyterian Church

Timothy Keller is the founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. For over twenty years he has led a diverse congregation of young professionals that has grown to a weekly attendance of over 5,000. He is also President of Redeemer City to City, which starts new churches in New York and other global cities. In over ten years they have helped to launch over 200 churches in 35 cities. Dr. Keller is the author of ten books, including The New York Times bestselling The Reason for God, The Prodigal God, and his most recent Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work. His books have sold over 1 million copies and been translated into 15 languages.
